  1. Are the orange pumpkins laughing at the multi-colored ones?

    Happy Halloween to you!

  2. Yes, the orange pumpkins said "Those are not Halloween colors". These pumpkins for 3 Trick or Treaters came last year with plastic bags and ice cream container....so they have their own pumpkins this year!

  3. Looks like it was wet for the Trick or Treaters! Hope it wasn't too cold, too! They sure look adorable!
You two are absolutely incredible, you know! If it weren't for you, those kids would never have such a great Halloween celebration. They will remember you with love all the days of their lives!
How many actual "pumpkins" did you pass out? I can't imagine you provided 57 of them, plus all that candy and cookies too. I hope just the "special neighbor kids" got the big pumpkins....you guys are too much!
We had so few kids, I was handing out candy by handsfuls, and we still have a huge cauldron still full of Snickers, Twix, Butterfingers,Nerds,Suckers, and several kinds of Fruity candy I can't remember the names of at the moment. I took some to Finn Club, but not much was eaten...unlike the sauerkraut and Polish sausage and apple tart, which disappeared in a flash!
Eda says she has been trying to reach you for several weeks to no avail...
Hope to see you soon! Mom is very fragile, and getting very weak! I don't like the looks of it at all... Please come home soon!

  4. Two bags? Candy and cookies! Those lucky little goblins! Looks so yummy. Heck I'd dressed up as a little something-or-other and come a-knocking on your door!

We usually have about 50 kids, but this year less...maybe 25-30. There are not many small children in our immediate neighborhood, but in the past people drive in from other areas...this year, too, but not so many.

    Have a great week!

  5. Gave out only 3 pumpkins...The weather was perfect, dry and 46 degrees.

  6. Dry? Glad to hear it; I guess the "Pepsi can" and her "hunter pal in the red plaid" had been mucking out the barn, or washing the family vehicle before they went out T or T'ing. Their lower legs looked really wet!
We were so hot we had fans set up on the front steps to keep us cool, and citronella smudge pots all over the yard to keep the mosquitos away. It also added to the ambiance, of course... We sort of had a block party with all the houses around here participating, and walking around talking. We were outside till 10:00 trying to get rid of the candy...

  8. Greetings again! Grouper's coming or you're coming to grouper?

If you're interested, we're selling our house in Ocala...but it's only on 1/2 acre...very nice, though...

We're getting old and are going to downsize to a villa in The Villages...

    Hope all is well.

  9. Nov. 21, huh? That's not far away. Will you be heading to St. Pete? Cedar Key? Donald Trump's tower?

  10. Me again! Methinks we probably should have done that, too...sold our house first. But, we found just what we've been looking for and we knew it would go fast (in fact two other offers were in the offing and one came in the same day we signed a contract!), so we did a equity line of credit on which we interest only...then when we sell our house, we pay back the loan.

We did that when we moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Ocala and it worked well.

If you are actually interested, I could send you some photos...we're going to list it with a realtor this week sometime...probably Tuesday...

    Have a wonderful week.
